HUMP!
HUMP! is an annual film festival founded by Dan Savage in 2005. HUMP! describes itself as “the world’s best amateur porn film festival.” The festival showcases home-movie erotica, amateur sex cinema, and locally produced pornography, all of which must be five minutes or less. In its early years, Dan Savage would destroy the single DVD containing the films, ensuring performers’ privacy was preserved forever. In 2023, however, HUMP! launched a streaming library of past entries to allow for “timeless appreciation of the festival’s creative brilliance.”
The Rules
The movies might be NC-17, but the event is PG.
- Clothing isn’t optional.
- The only sausage anyone should be touching is the hors d’oeuvres.
- Talking during the movies is a-okay.
- This isn’t an official event for any group, and their rules don’t supercede these.
- Alcohol and food will be available, but please drink responsibly.
- Consent is important. Check in with your neighbors before you slide in close.
- Blankets are allowed, but canoodling under them isn’t.
- We won’t wait for you to start, but it’s perfectly okay to be late.
If you violate these rules you will be forced to leave, and your behavior will be brought up with the group who you received the invite from.
